4D IN ACTION
The 4th Dimension has become a well recognized name in the addiction recovery field. This is party because of our exemplary model and partly because we are leading change in the broader community for the benefit of people in recovery.
4D is proud to be a part of these organizations, initiatives and movements.
4D has recognized a need in the community, a gap in services for our teenagers facing addiction. And, after partnering with the Alano Club of Portland to screen a documentary about Recovery High-schools, 4D’s Executive Director, Tony Vezina, was invited a seat on the Oregon Recovery High School Initiative Board of Directors.
4D is a proud member of Oregon Recovers, a statewide campaign to transform Oregon into the recovery state through the expansion of recovery services. 4D’s Executive Director, Tony Vezina, is a co-founder and a steering committee member. 4D understands that a more robust addiction treatment service continuum creates the opportunities needed for young people in Oregon to recovery.
4D is happy to host monthly MetroPlus Association of Addiction Peer Professional’s, “MAAPP’s” meetings. These monthly meetings provide continuing education to the Addiction Peer Professional fields, give updates on services and coordinate efforts for the betterment of the field in general. 4D’s Executive Director, Tony Vezina, is a Board of Director member on the association.
Through the MAAPP’s budget, 4D staff were an integral part in the development of a Youth Substance Use Disorder Peer Service Best Practice Manual.
