Recovery High School Initiative: Harmony Academy
4D has recognized a need in the community, a gap in services for our teenagers facing addiction. After partnering with the Alano Club of Portland to screen a documentary about recovery high schools, 4D’s executive director Tony Vezina was invited to become a member of the Oregon Recovery High School Initiative Board of Directors.
Harmony Academy is Oregon’s first recovery high school, serving students in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties. Its mission is to provide a safe, sober, and supportive gold-standard education for youth in recovery — a place where they can develop the skills and strengths needed for personal, academic, vocational, and community success.
4D is a proud member of Oregon Recovers — a statewide coalition of people in recovery uniting to transform Oregon healthcare and help it to become known as the Recovery State. Tony Vezina is a co-founder and a steering committee member. 4D understands that a more robust addiction treatment service continuum will create the opportunities needed for young people in Oregon to recover.
Together Oregon Recovers will bring world-class prevention, treatment, and recovery support services to Oregonians suffering from the disease of addiction.
The Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon
The Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (formerly ACCBO) was founded in 1977 with the mission of certifying behavioral health professionals through competency-based evaluation of education, experience, and exams. 4D’s Executive Director brings his knowledge of peer services to the super star board of directors.
