4D Culturally Specific Youth Male Certified Recovery Mentor

Pay: $13.45 – $15.14

Hours: 40 hr/wk or as needed

Qualifications: CRM

 

 

Requirements:

  • Recovery Mentor Certification and continued education requirements
  • At least 2 years abstinent from drugs/alcohol
  • Pass DHS background check
  • Ability to engage with youth
  • Ability to connect with culturally diverse groups

 

 

Description overview:

 

Work with young people between the ages of 15-35 using motivational enhancement methods to connect individuals in early recovery to recovery paths, jobs, stable housing, health insurance, education, etc. Mentors will connect with clients from several referral methods: treatment centers, walk-ins, or the criminal justice system. Mentors may pick-up clients from treatment centers (adult and adolescence) and other locations to take them to 12 step meetings, recovery centered events, recreational activities at 4D or approved outside events, and take them to appointments (doctors, food stamp office, DHS, court, etc.).

 

Mentors will not have standard working hours (no 9 to 5). Mentors will work with referral agencies and clients directly to set times to mentor. Mentors will be in charge of tracking their own hours using the system provided by 4D
